Why isn't the status of my shipment being updated?

Please understand that our logistics partner may sometimes experience delays in updating the status, even though your package is already on its way.

Is shipping free?

Yes, shipping is free for all orders over €100 . For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €9.99.

How long do I have to return the goods?

How long is the cancellation period?

What are the conditions for a return?

In order for us to fully refund your return, we ask you to do the following:

  • The item is unused and shows no signs of wear .
  • The original packaging is complete and undamaged.
  • For devices with hygiene components: For health protection reasons, an exchange of opened disposable parts (such as nasal cannulas or hoses) is unfortunately not possible.

Are oxygen concentrators very loud?

Operating noise is indeed an important issue for our users. Modern oxygen concentrators, especially household models, have been developed with a particular focus on quiet operation.

The noise level of common household appliances typically ranges between 40 and 50 decibels (dB) . This corresponds approximately to:

  • A quiet library (approx. 40 dB)
  • A normal conversation indoors (approx. 50 dB)

Please note: The noise level varies depending on the oxygen flow rate . At higher flow rates, the operating noise may increase slightly. We recommend placing the device on a flat, stable surface and maintaining a certain distance to experience the noise emission to its fullest.

Under what circumstances is the alarm triggered?

If the oxygen concentrator malfunctions, an alarm will sound and the following error code will be displayed:

Is it possible to travel on an airplane with a portable oxygen concentrator?

Thank you for your important question. Our portable oxygen concentrators are designed for use at home and on the go, but are not approved for use on board aircraft .

Taking these devices on board requires special approval from the airline (e.g., FAA) , which our devices currently do not have. Please always check with your airline before traveling to find out which devices are permitted on board. We recommend our concentrators for excursions, car trips, or general use at home.

Are the batteries of the portable hub rechargeable?

Yes, they can be charged with an AC cable, in a car with a DC cable, or, depending on the model, with an external charger. The average charging time is 4 to 5 hours.

What is the function of atomization?

It supports the effective absorption of small particles into the airways with fewer side effects.

Is the VARON oxygen concentrator compatible with the vehicle's charging system?

Yes, it supports a power supply of 100–240 V (AC) and 12–16.8 V (DC), so it can be used worldwide and charged in the vehicle.

Do I need to fill the device with water?

The answer varies depending on your device:

  • If your device has a "humidifier reservoir": Then yes. Please fill it with distilled water only, up to the fill line, to humidify the oxygen.
  • If there is no separate water tank: Then no. Your device is designed for dry operation .

Is the battery replaceable? How do I do that?

Yes, this is possible with models VP1, VP2, VP6, VL1, and VL2. For a safe and correct replacement, it is best to follow the illustrated instructions in your user manual .

How do I clean the casing of my oxygen concentrator?

How do I store the device when I'm not using it for a while?

Switch it off, empty and completely dry the humidifier tank. Store the device in a cool, dry, and dust-free place . It is recommended to unplug it.

How do I clean and disinfect the humidifier container?

Regular maintenance of the humidifier reservoir is crucial for hygienic oxygen enrichment. Please proceed as follows:

1. Daily basic care:

  • Change the water in the humidifier daily .

2. Weekly cleaning:

  • Rinse the container weekly with warm water and a little mild dish soap.
  • Rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
  • Allow it to air dry completely before using it again.

3. Regular disinfection (every 3-7 days):

  • For disinfection, you can use one of the following methods (please select only one ): Vinegar solution: Leave a mixture of 40 ml household vinegar and water to act for 30 minutes. Medical alcohol: Use 75% medical alcohol for 30 minutes. Chlorine-based disinfectant: Use a solution containing 500 mg/L chlorine for 30 minutes.
  • After each disinfection: Rinse the container thoroughly with clean, running water to remove all residues and allow it to air dry completely .

How do I care for and change my oxygen nasal cannula?

To ensure you can always breathe hygienically, we recommend this care routine:

1. Cleaning after use:
Please rinse your nasal cannula briefly with clean water after each use.

2. Regular change for best hygiene:
Even with the best care, the material will wear out. Therefore, replacement is advisable:

  • Standard: At the latest after 2 months with regular use.
  • If used infrequently: After 3-6 months at the latest.

Important for your health: Disposable PVC nasal prongs are not designed for continuous, multiple use.

What is the purpose of the air filter in the oxygen concentrator?

The air filter (also called a pre-filter ) is a crucial component: It protects the interior of your oxygen concentrator by filtering out dust, dirt, mold spores, and other fine particles from the intake air. This ensures that only clean air is used for oxygen generation.

Maintenance recommendation: To ensure optimal performance and a long service life for your device, this filter should be cleaned regularly. We recommend a cleaning cycle at least once a month .

Here's how to proceed:

  1. Remove filter:
    Always switch the device off and unplug it. Carefully remove the filter – it is usually located on the back or side of the housing.
  2. Clean the filter:
    Carefully shake out the coarse dust. Then you can rinse the filter under running, lukewarm water .
    Important: Do not use soap, harsh detergents or chemicals , as these can damage the filter material.
  3. Dry thoroughly:
    Allow the filter to dry completely in the air before reinserting it into the device. Any residual moisture could otherwise lead to mold growth inside the device.

How long does the cotton filter last and how do I change it?

  • Not washable: This type of filter is not cleanable and must not be washed with water .
  • Standard lifespan: The filter must be replaced after 100-200 operating hours .
